KvA (Kilo-volt-amperes)

KvA is a measure of apparent power within a system and are used to measure large power use especially for energy tariffs. In a 100 per cent efficient system, for example, the kW (kilowatts) would be equal to the kVA. However, the reality is that not all systems are built the same, and not all are 100 per cent efficient.
