Three Phase Charging

Three-phase charging for EVs uses a three-wire alternating current (AC) power system, where there are three hot wires, and one neutral wire and is typically used in more industrial and commercial settings. Three-phase power can deliver up to 480 volts or 22kW allowing for a faster charge. Instead of one current flow, three currents are used, effectively doubling or tripling the power delivery capacity.
