About
Established in 1974, Arnold Electrical and Data Installations is a Queensland-based, industrial and commercial and industrial electrical contractor. They specialise in electrical maintenance and service, electrical fit outs and installations. Arnold Electrical have a number of private, public and Government customers and currently hold the contract for electrical maintenance for Queensland Parliament.
The Challenge
Arnold Electrical were approached to replace the existing EV charger installations at Queensland Parliament due to persistent performance issues and inadequate customer support. Ministers, staff and MPs needed to have consistent and reliable access to charging for their EVs at the workplace and this wasn’t happening with their current setup. The previous chargers had been supplied by an overseas manufacturer, were experiencing frequently failures to charge, and reliable customer support from this provider was proving challenging.
The Solution
Seeking a reliable, locally supported solution for Queensland Parliament, Arnold Electrical approached EVOS. With Australian-made chargers manufactured in Brisbane and a local team, EVOS provided a seamless hardware replacement solution that could easily be easily supplied, maintained and supported. We supplied a fleet of six Fleet22 22kW chargers with 5-6m charging cables for installation by Arnold Electrical. This ensured that at any one time up to 6 EVs could be charging and with the EVOS Energy Management Platform that the load could easily be managed and prioritised.
The Result
Since the installation, the Queensland Parliament George Street site has maintained 100% uptime, ensuring uninterrupted charging for all its users. In addition to reliable hardware, Arnold Electrical required a robust platform for performance monitoring, service management, and warranty support which we were also able to supply. Arnold Electrical continue to work with EVOS and have embraced our EVOS Energy Platform to streamline their maintenance too.
